 ín, 1958) es considerado uno de los escritores más talentosos e influyent
 es del post-boom latinoamericano. Autor de quince libros, entre ellos las
  novelas best-seller Angosta (2004), La Oculta (2014) y, más recientemen
 te, Salvo mi corazón, todo está bien (2022).El olvido que seremos, quiz
 ás su novela más conocida y celebrada, es un memorial y la meditación de 
 un artista sobre la ausencia y la memoria. Cuenta la historia de su padre\
 , Héctor Abad Gómez, un destacado defensor de la salud pública y los dere
 chos humanos asesinado por sicarios paramilitares de derecha en Medellín e
 n 1987. Este libro, y su labor periodística, lo han colocado como uno de
  los autores más destacados del ámbito de los derechos humanos. Es autor d
 el prólogo del libro Una maleta colombiana: La experiencia colombiana del 
 exilio y la Comisión de la Verdad (2021).Hctor Abad Faciolince ha recibido
  múltiples premios, entre ellos el Premio Nacional de Cuento de Colombia 
 1980, el Premio Nacional Simón Bolívar (periodismo) 1998; Primer Premio 
 Casa de América de Narrativa I\novadora (por Basura) 200, Beca DAAD (Berl
 ín 2006); Mejor Novela Extranjera (China, 2004 por Angosta); Casa de Am

 ered one of the most talented and influential post-Latin American Boom wri
 ters. Author of fifteen books, including bestselling novels Angosta (2004
 ), La Oculta (2014), and most recently Salvo mi corazón, todo está bien
  (2022).Mr. Abad’s 2005 beloved Oblivion: A Memoir (first published as El 
 olvido que seremos) is a memorial, and an artist’s meditation on absence 
 and memory. It tells the story of his father, Héctor Abad Gómez, a leadi
 ng public health and human rights advocate murdered by rightist paramilita
 ry gunmen in Medellín in 1987. This book, and his journalistic work, has
  placed him as one of the most prominent authors in the area of human righ
 ts. He has also authored the foreword to the book A Colombian Suitcase: Th
 e Colombian Experience of Exile and the Truth Commission (2021).Hector Aba
 d Faciolince is recipient of multiple awards, including Colombia National
  Short Story Prize 1980, Simón Bolívar National Prize (journalism) 1998;
