Día de Muertos 2023

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese is proud to invite all undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Toronto to celebrate Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) with us.

Learn about the rich significance of the Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) tradition as Prof. Juan Carlos Rocha Osornio presents our Día de Muertos altar.

Immerse your senses with a taste of tradition as you savor pan de muerto and tamales, two iconic Mexican dishes.

Following the presentation, you're invited to explore the intricacies of the altar, on display until November 3rd, in the second floor foyer of Victoria College.
