The third edition, expanded to include approximately 240,000 collocations, reflects contemporary language use and promotes inclusive expression. The structure of the dictionary and its practical applications will be examined through selected examples, highlighting its role in enhancing lexical development, fluency, and idiomatic competence.

Paola Tiberii is a lexicographer, translator, and musicologist. She is the author of the Dizionario delle collocazioni published by Zanichelli, a comprehensive reference work on Italian word combinations.
