About the Presenter
Vinícius Portella Castro is a Brazilian writer, independent scholar focused on media theories, and editor at Machado Editorial. He obtained a MA from Darmouth College and a PhD from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (BR), both in comparative literature. As a writer, he has published two novels in Portuguese: Os Sinais Impossíveis (2010) and Procedimientos de Arrigo Andrada (2017). As a media scholar, he has published extensively in Brazil on linguistics, literature, anthropology, culture and media studies.
